I rarely leave negative reviews, but future guests should know about our experience. Upon arrival, the key was difficult to remove from the lockbox. Inside, the toilet seat detached when lifted, and a hand towel had visible stains. I reported these issues, but they were not addressed. The next morning, we found rats had gotten into our groceries. I have photos documenting the damage. Because the property was uninhabitable, YourPad relocated us to 154 Spring Street, Unit C, Charleston, SC 29403. Unfortunately, that property also had major issues, including part of the ceiling on the floor from what appeared to be water damage. This trip was planned as a golf getaway for colleagues, but we spent our time dealing with property issues and moving instead of relaxing. Although YourPad initially confirmed in writing that I would receive a full refund, they later changed it to a partial refund. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend either property
Everything went great - we were down in Charleston for my son's wedding with extended family. This place suited our needs - for my 22 year old niece to my 87 year old mother-in-law. The hosts could not have been more proactive or responsive - and the extra little things like toiletries were greatly appreciated.
We stayed in Charleston for a wedding and this house was a quick Uber ride to the venue. The house was spacious enough for our large party of 8 adults and a child under 5. All of the bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were the most comfortable beds! The house has modern decor but retained its Charleston Single House charm. (I loved the narrow double doors!) The kitchen had all the items needed for food prep, but we were able to walk to nearby spots for pizza, coffee, and drinks. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!
