We were able to get to the beginning of King Street in about 5 minutes, perfect for downtown life and restaurants. For shopping though I would recommend just driving if you don’t want to walk 30 plus each way but that’s to be considered with how long the road is! All the other reviews about construction are accurate but we didn’t really notice once we were inside. Walking wise it’s noticeable but easy to just switch sides of the sidewalk. Even on a weekday we saw plenty of people walking around. We weren’t more than a 10 minute drive to everything else we wanted to do (sullivans island, Shem Creek, etc) and that was really nice! Just be mindful the area is up and coming so there will be old houses, new houses, and places that are under construction if you’re ok with that it’s a good spot! I do want to note the stairs leading to the building, they were fine but definitely old. Something to note if you have a lot of luggage.

This was an adorable place to stay with our family for the week! We appreciated the charm of the original building, the close distance to shopping, and the short drive to various beaches! The host was responsive to any needs that came up.

The place was perfect. walking distance to everything, quiet , cozy. Check in and out were super simple. The host was super responsive if we ever needed something. 10/10 would recommend !!
