The location of this place was perfect ! It was within a 10-15 min walk to king st and a 5 min Uber else where . If you don’t care for frills and updates then it’s perfect for you. However Our complaint was that the pictures eluded to the property being much nicer than it actually was - now Charleston’s an old town so it may just come with the area. Everything had the “landlord special” so many layers of paint over everything attempting to hide what needs to be fixed. Very Slanted porch. The water pressure on the second level was almost non existent. And the bedroom with the bunk beds was through another bedroom (which you can not tell from the pictures and it is not mentioned) - with the only other exit being blocked by the fridge in the kitchen (very weird lay out style) For what the pictures showed and what we payed we honestly were expecting a more loved/renovated property. Overall still a good experience - communication was great with the owners and the property was clean
Great location and one of the few listings that comfortably fit our group size, which we really appreciated. The hosts were responsive throughout our stay and were kind enough to accommodate a late checkout. That said, the home itself could use some attention. We expected an older property given the downtown Charleston setting, but the overall cleanliness fell short—there was noticeable dust, which triggered allergies for several of us, and areas like the shower heads could benefit from a deeper clean. The layout is also a bit unconventional, with some rooms requiring you to walk through others to access different parts of the home, which may not suit all groups. The locks throughout the house also did not feel super secure. Overall, we had a good stay, but for the price point, we expected a higher standard of cleanliness and upkeep.
