We did not find that to be the case.  On our first night there 9 police cars and 3 ambulances came roaring down the street and it seemed that police traffic happened nightly .  In addition if a car was parked at the light and they had loud sound systems in their cars it was noticeable in the property.  The property is not far from the beginning of King Street, the local shopping district, and was walkable during the daytime, we did not walk at night and I don't think I would have felt safe doing so.
The common area a couple of times was completely occupied by large groups of people having parties - they even took our parking place one night. So we did not feel it was truly a common area for all.  
All in all we were happy with the property for the time we were there." (8/5)
