There were BED BUGS in our rental. Multiple guests were bitten. They were all over the headboard. All shapes, all sizes, and there were exoskeletons. The host insisted this has never been an issue. Given the number of bugs we saw, it seems hard to believe. The location is 45 minutes walking from downtown. You can clearly hear people talking in the apartment above and restaurant next door. There is no service in the building, the WiFi was super slow. The parking space is MULTIPLE blocks away. I don’t know who put the good reviews on this place. Also, it neighbors other buildings so some of the windows have a film on them and you can’t look out. The “additional bedding” was a blanket and the air mattress doesn’t hold air.
We had a lovely stay, the location was wonderful as well. Coffee, gelato and rooftop bar what more could you want! The space was spotless, and the airbnb itself is beautiful. The host is very responsive and helpful, would definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved this place. We were originally slightly concerned about the potential for noise from the Italian restaurant and bar that opened right next door in October 2025. But we need not have worried as we did not hear any noise at all. To the contrary, it was fantastic to have direct access to a great restaurant and rooftop bar. We made great use of both! The house was perfect for our group of four, it had all the amentities and comfort we needed, and our hosts were pleasant and easy to deal with. And the location was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend this place for a group stay and we would all stay there again if we find ourselves back in Charleston.
